Site recovery

Restore a saved website backup from Synology. These controls run separately from the website.

1. Choose a backup

Saved Synology backups

The archive and database are checked, then the saved site is started in isolation before restoration is offered.

2. Review and restore

Choose a backup to begin.

This replaces the site’s saved data and code.

Changes made after this backup—including member accounts, discussions, uploads and editor changes—will be replaced. A safety copy of the current site is saved first. The site will briefly be unavailable.

Type RESTORE to confirm this rollback

Current hosting and recovery settings are preserved. If restart checks fail, the previous site is recovered automatically. Safety copies remain on the server for manual recovery if needed.
