Privacy & site analytics
We use analytics hosted on our own server to understand which parts of this website are useful and improve our community outreach. We do not send analytics to an advertising service.
We count page visits, homepage sections viewed, broad referral sources, screen-size groups, and selected interactions such as opening a photo, playing a video, or clicking a volunteer link. Engaged time is estimated while a page is active. Public form tracking records only a submission attempt, never the information entered.
A random browser identifier is kept in local storage for up to one year. It helps estimate unique browsers. A visit resets after 30 minutes of inactivity. Analytics records are kept for 400 days. Administrators can view aggregate reports. Analytics does not store your name, email, IP address, form contents, URL query strings, or private discussion titles. Hosting and security logs are separate from this analytics feature.
We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. You can also opt out for this browser below. This choice does not affect access to the site. Clearing browser storage resets your preference; other browsers and devices need their own setting.
